The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, held on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, delivered more than just glitz and glamour, it marked a turning point for television history. Hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze and broadcast on CBS and Paramount+, the night recognized the best in TV from June 2024 through May 2025 while celebrating long-overdue milestones.

Major Winners of the Night

Apple TV+’s The Studio took home Outstanding Comedy Series, solidifying its breakout success, while The Pitt secured the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. In the limited series category, Adolescence dominated with wins for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series as well as multiple acting awards, including Stephen Graham for Lead Actor and Erin Doherty and Owen Cooper in supporting roles.

Owen Cooper, at just 15 years old, became the youngest male actor ever to win in the supporting category for a limited series — a record-breaking moment that underscored the fresh talent reshaping television.
